Potter and Pandora

My brother-in-law is an up-and-coming film critic.

He recently received an email concerning his review of the latest Harry Potter film. In his review, he stated how the use and types of magic in Harry Potter can be seen as a metaphor for other such characteristics/attributes such as character, skills, etc.

He got an email that said(paraphrasing),

"Mr. Overstreet,

If you think that any pagan, mythical references can be legitimately used as metaphors for things in real life, then you are opening Pandora's Box.

"

Pause and think about this one.

He got no reply from his email..."Thanks for illustrating my point."

Anyway, for all of you out there who love discussing films, critiquing them, or just plain bashing them, his reviews are a must-read. [I hear he also answers his email].

Anyway, drive traffic to his sites, if you like this sort of thing.
